Oslo-based interdisciplinary artist
Victoria Alstrup is a Norwegian artist who works with painting and sculpture. Her practice focuses on the crucial aspect of being free and examines the normative aspects of modern society.
She is concerned with preserving history and reusing traces of lived life. By adding poetic expressions to her works, she explores the connection between the actual and the illusory.
She examines how art that aims to break with paradigms and conventions actually fulfills, and to what extent it challenges our image of the world.
Victoria lives and works in Oslo.
